Privacy Policy

The short version: I only collect what you choose to send me, I use it to reply and to work with you, and I never sell it. No ad trackers, no analytics cookies.
This policy covers davidhacker.com, the personal site of David Hacker ("I", "me"), and the consulting and support inquiries that come through it. My products (HeyQuad, QuadFlow, QwickCert, Abe and Quads Lab) run on their own sites and have their own privacy policies.
What I collect
- What you send me. When you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address, company (if you add it), the topic you picked and your message.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used for security and keeping the site running.
The site doesn't use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party pixels.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and follow up about it.
- To scope, deliver and bill for work we agree on.
- To keep business records and meet legal obligations.
- To protect the site against spam and abuse.
I won't add you to a mailing list or send marketing without asking first.
Who I share it with
I don't sell or rent your information. I share it only with services that help me run things, and only as much as they need:
- Hosting: Railway hosts this site.
- Email and contact management: my email provider and the CRM I use to keep track of inquiries and clients.
- Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when you visit.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone's safety.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiry and client records for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable time afterwards for business, tax and legal purposes. Ask me to delete your information and I will, unless I'm required to keep it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and I limit access to your information to the tools I actually use. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you send me.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I have about you, or tell me to stop contacting you. Just email me@davidhacker.com.
Kids
This site is for businesses and adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
